A Space History and Science Museum that exists along with a traditional science center in the
same city, featuring flown artifacts from the U.S. and Soviet space programs. This is a prime
example of what riches Pittsburgh could have in the ORIGINAL BUHL.

This is a great site for those who enjy riding ''antiques'' for amusement. See if you can locate these
operating rides that are 70, 72, 75, 76, and 100 years old. One of the rides has an 86 year old Wurlitzer
band organ that plays when the ride operates. An attraction at this location shares a connection with the
Mercantile map on display inside Buhl Planetarium. (These two attractions started life at the 1939 World's
Fair in New York City.) Try to locate the historuc landmark that you ride. (Here is a clue: ''You may be
too tall to ride this attraction that shares it's name with a slow moving reptile.'') There are only three
of these rides left, on the entire planet, that still operate.

This site is an intersting paradox, for many of the famous photos taken to ''freeze'' images of the
21st Century have been taken with ''antiques''. (Lots of cool history here also.)
